Luft ditching cap - thoughts? opinions? etc.etc. SVP

Hi,

A friend of mine picked this rarity up with a luft cloth flight helemt a little while ago. While we are both aviation collectors, neither of us has ever encoutnered a bon fide example of one of these before, seen a few copies though - this one seems to line as real, well built etc. up but I thought I'd see what other peoples experiences have taught them. To my eye - it really stands a chance of being good, it does not glow under black light. But I have only seen these pictures, not handled it personally.

I've always been after one of these "Skull Caps".. I believe they also came in Red??

Does it have those little attachment clips on it?

If any body has one of the Ditching/Survival Caps??...
