Does anyone know the Manufacture dates of the 2nd type and 3rd type Luftwaffe Anti Splinter Goggles (Splitterschutzbrille)

Nitsche & Gunther was a maker of the third pattern i think!...
scrap that i miss read your post but i think the third pattern was 1944 onwards!...

Optical maker Nitsche & Gunther manufactured two variants type "A" clear lenses and Type "D" with tinted lenses issued in cylinder type of container marked type "A" or "D" third type referred to was marked number code (FL30550) was Known as third line as Gunny says 44 onward of this third type. I once had a pair with metal round case marked with this last no code wish I had kept them as they are through the roof on the price of them now. timothy
