Hi folks, I bought this Luftwaffe tunic eagle many years ago whilst on holiday in the channel islands although I'm sure it is original (though probably unissued ) could it be possible that it is infact a Fallschirmjager jump smock eagle due to the green denim type background I look forward to your thoughts, Regards, Paul

I think your right Harry, but there were no FJs in California or London or a lot of other places, but you can still by FJ militaria there, regards ,Paul

HBT version, looks a fine original, I used to have two at one time, I might even still have one in a drawer or box somewhere.

They were used on Smocks and FJFD camo jackets, but without it being used it is for the HBT tunic. They fetch good money, or at least they used to, who knows where the market if these days.

I agree with Jerry that this is for a HBT tunic. Fallschirmjaeger eagle backing was camouflage. Years ago, I bought a large collection of breast eagles with four of the camo pattern smock eagles.
