Thanks for the compliments Erwin, the overseas cap was already in my possession, I now will look for some equipment to go with it.

To keep this thread going, not typical Luftwaffe feld division ordnance stuff but these will go with the Luftwaffe great coat mannequin I’m planning to build. Nice tragestell with ordnance tan MG ammo boxes and ordnance tan MG drums in there original carrying case. Will leave the “chunk of bread” on it as how they where carrying such things with them in the field, see period picture.

That’s an interesting detail indeed, these pictures where probably taken in Russia regarding his white painted MG ammo box, the second picture can also be seen in the book ‘Uniforms & Traditions of the German Army 1933-1945’ by John R.Angolia and Adolf Schlicht volume 3, one of the best research books regarding German uniforms and equipment you can get, a must for every serious collector.

Great camo field jacket. I have never been able to find an original splinter pattern Luft fieeld jacket, with original insignia.

I did have one (HG marked)----and a mint 1st pattern DAK Heer tunic, but i had to pay for my son's second year tuition at JMU, so......and he turned out to be a card-ccrrying socialist......Wish I had them back
