Another member told me the eagle on the zip indicates that the jacket is indeed French made. So the problem is that, one can never be 100% sure if this was captured and used as a pilot jacket or if it was modified like this post war. $1500 i think is too much for having this headache.

Hello, for my friend, it's a post war jacket. He sold one last week at 700 €, one other was sold at 900 €.
Your jacket is in perfect condition, not used.

Cool it's exactly the same. So it's definitely a French made jacket.
But i didn't understand, why it is a post war jacket since it was sold for 700 euros and it has all the loops and provisions for shoulder boards?

Your is new, not used like this one.
700 €-900 € is thecorrect price for one old jacket, but you can buy one copy. I look for one.

So your friend thinks the one i posted is post war because it was not used or because of some of the features it shows like the zipper for example? Period unissued and unused items still exist i don't think that's a problem.

I agree with Don on this one. The jacket has been well preserved, the one that you have displayed is very worn. The price should be altered though.
