Luftwaffe Veterans Lot...
Hi guys!
I wanted to share this nice Luftwaffe veterans lot I purchased directly from his son. It includes his tunic, badges, daggers, about 40 photos, and several documents including his allied discharge papers (see photos below). The allied discharge document is pretty cool, I've never seen one before!
I'd like to get some thoughts on the documents in particular, and anything they may reveal about this guy. There are several documents showing his promotions throughout his career, but also a set of 4 pages that appear to be a timeline? I'd like to get any feedback I can regarding what these papers reveal (if anything).
His son managed to dig up his father's resume, and emailed me the contents related to his service. This is what it reads, "In 1934 I enlisted as a soldier in the Inf. Rgt.16 in Lingen. I took various courses and was promoted to Hauprfeldwebel. In the Spring of 1940 I was sent to the front lines in France and Russia. After the collapse in 1945, I was released in June 1945 from the English Occupying Forces."
Thanks!
Dzyner
I collect WW2 German Luftwaffe Uniform Tunics, US Uniforms and Japanese Uniforms.

Re: Luftwaffe Veterans Lot...
Hello,
It is a very nice grouping. I am wondering why the tunic is piped in yellow? He served and was promoted in a Bau unit and a Aufklarungs Unit. He recieved his Infantry Assault badge in an Felders.(Field Training?) Battalion. Is the piping color for Aufklarungs yellow? I thought that was paratrooper and flight? A soldbuch and Wehrpass would definately help here. Isn't the button hole ribbon for a KVK II? I collect Heer cloth so I could be off base here.
