The absence of french cuffs does not rule-out use by an officer.
Hello,
Let's see the lining and markings ,please.
Fred
Fred, that is a fair request. There is an old stapled tag and some rust marks in the vicinity of the left breast pocket.
Hello,
Originally this was an enlisted issue tunic. The addition of the larger pointed collar is typical of an officer conversion. With or without French cuffs. If you want to restore this as an enlisted tunic you will need to replace the collar.

Okay. Thank you. I am convinced. Itvis eadier to set up an officer tunic. Now, what service branch?
I think I prefer Panzergrenadier and then Mountain troops.
The search is on for the tabs and boards.
I finished it. It is now a Gebirgsjager officer tunic. I used original WW2 field grey and bottle green thread. Thanks fir your insights.
I need to clean up the stitching on the eagle.
Looks great
