M36 Inf. shoulder boards, original?

Article about: I came across these boards through a picker friend....he had no idea what they were, but saved them for me. I have mixed feelings about these.....I like the stitching of the two separate pie

    I think they are OK.

    By rights, the use of metal numerals was for NCO's only.

    I compared these to my original M40 Infantry boards and these are smaller in width and overall size. I'll take a side by side picture and post for all to see...were the M36 boards smaller?

    More pics regarding the size difference. I'm in agreement with the opinion that these are good, just curious about the size difference. Here is a comparison with one of my original M40 boards.
