Hello guys, I have seen these for sale. I have looked in my 'Badges and Insignia of the Third Reich' and they seem to look like ones used by the Regiment 'General Goring' although in the book they have silver tassels and not gold, any ideas please, are they originals?
    Thanks, Glen.

According to the info I have at hand, you're correct on the colouring needed for the fringe.

    1) Drum and fife bandsmen - dull grey braiding with 4,5cm deep grey wool stranded fringe
    2) Bandsmen - bright aluminium braiding with 4,5cm deep aluminium stranded fringe
    3) Battalionhornisten - bright aluminium braiding with 7cm deep aluminium stranded fringe.

As far as I can ascertain only bandsmen who wore the gold/gilt fringe were the NSDAP Political Leadership bandsmen from either a Kreisleitung or Gau.
Hope some one can shed some light on this soon.

The only example that I can post is from the Infantry.
