The back looks very similar to my Mountain troops arm badge , but this looks to have been bleached out by exposure to direct sunlight . IMHO

Hello,

Compare it to an original BeVo weave jaeger patch or gebirgsjaeger patch. They wiil be near identical in manufacture. The patch you show is a known reproduction from the 1970's. John Angolia referenced this exact patch as a reproduction in his book Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army, 1933-1945.
