This finally arrived today - my first item of TR clothing! It's some form of Officer's overcoat but I'm not sure which. I'll soon be buying a tailor's dummy on which to display it!

Thanks for linking me Ade, I'm a big fan of it! I'll ensure it's on display soon and I'll take some better pictures (with the Waffenrock!)

I was just wondering... if I put an SS armband on this coat, would I making a cock up or would it be acceptable? Just interested in the general opinion!
Robbie
It would be very wrong.

very nice robbie looks fantastic can't wait to see it on display
Thanks Tom It's all on display now, I've put a pair of military binoculars around the neck of the coat instead of the armband, and just after Christmas I'll start a thread on my collection. Ade, thanks for the heads up, sorry to make so crass a suggestion!
Robbie
I would add a nice officers leather belt and hoster to it.
Cheers, Ade.

Bugger. I took your advice Ade and bought a belt + buckle but I wasn't certain of what distinguished an officer's belt from any normal enlisted man's type. Would it still be acceptable to put one of the 'Gott Mitt Uns' buckles on the coat?
