OPINIONS needed for Edelweiss insignia!!!!

Our lot of stuff arrived this weekend. Here are some photos of the sleeve patch. I don't know a thing about these, as stated in my earlier post however, I have absolutely no doubt of the authenticity of this patch. It came as part of several old pages from a scrapbook that it looks like a US Army Soldier, who was part of the 95th Infantry Division, collected right after the war ended while awaiting his return to the states. There were a couple of documents with his name and service number on them and he is listed in the national archives.

We won't be keeping this so if there is any interest, please let me know before it ends up on Ebay.
