Greetings...
I recall hearing that some Hollywood studios used real WH uniforms in the
50's-60's, and that many of these were sold in the 70's with studio markings...
Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys, Glenn

I've heard of this too. Not only were there WH tunics/uniforms, but original
WWII US A2 flight jackets as well. I don't know what the studio markings
were, other than perhaps principal actors or the films
these items were used in.
There was a large costume rental company up here in the late 70's
I remember, called 'Malabar's' that also had several WH tunics.
Gone now...........

Steve.
Hello,
the name "Malabar" sounds to me as a reminder of my childhood, it was my favourite brand of chewing-gum....more seriously, many cinema companies in Europe or in the States had original stuff from the war. Uniforms, helmets, awards & medals, even leather fieldgear, i've seen many items released from cinema studios or rental companies...
Thanks
