As I told before, the better way to get a good money is place it to the auction area Collector's Market- German Third Reich militaria for Sale at War relics forum

Yes, I'd hold onto it just the way it is now, conserve it to the
best of my ability, and keep it in the family !

    What a great souvenir ! !

Hi Tracie, I would like to see you sell the jacket & awards here too. You will get a lot of interest I think and by selling here you will not have to pay a commision. If you get a nice price, a donation to the site would be welcome

But some good clear close up pics of the awards, showing both front and back, will be needed. I forgot to mention earlier that the jacket is missing it's deathsheads insignia from the collar tabs.

If you do a little online research yourself, as you are now aware of what the items are, you will soon find what current market values are.

I was loathe to quote values at you, as I did not wish to put ideas into your head, but if you really need an idea I would start a possible auction at $4000 for the grouping. I feel this would be a good, fair, and attractive starting point. How you wish to play this is up to you. You can always start lower, but place a realistic reserve.

Now, I say this with the very greatest respect, but one problem you might encounter is that you are an unknown quantity here? People are naturally wary due to internet fraud. Items get posted by people who don't actually own the items shown. An instance of this has just occured today on the forum with some vehicles. Once again, I am not implying any inpropriety here. But it is something which will cross peoples minds.

Once again I wish you good luck with any sale. I wish I could afford them!

    Cheers, Ade.
