Question about german boots sizes

Hi all,
What would 29 1/2 correspond to for a pair of boots ?
I believe 29 1/2 is a metric measurement (in cm) but is it the size of the sole (from one end to the opposite end) or the size of the foot ?

Hi it is the size of the foot i think.i believe 29 1/2 is a 47.5 EU UK 12 US 13.

Hello,
29,5 cm is rather 46 than 47,5........47,5 is my size for shoes and no german Marschstiefel or Schnürschuhe below 31 cm can fit me...and i tried on a lot of examples all along my collecting life
