Hi Detlef, they look to be decent period pieces.
The first looks more red than pink (waffenfarbe) so IMO artillery.
If the second is gold yellow, then indeed cavalry.

They look good, but isn`t the officer one for a Hauptman?..not Leutnant.

Quite correct. Sorry for not spotting that. Two pips for Hauptmann, one for Oberleutnant and no pips for Leutnant.

Thanks for quick replies. My mistake on the board, it is indeed Hauptmann. Also piping for the Stabs. brd is pink. The fault is with the camera's interpretation of colour.
Was also wondering if anyone could tell me if the cloth banding on this board is a unit identification band, any if so which unit?
    Thanks again for replies.

Hi Detlef, the cloth loop will be a unit level Kompanie distinction. These were semi official and most have never been researched.

I have a strap in my collection with a red cord loop.

    Cheers, Ade.

IIRC the red chord indicates that the soldier your strap belonged to was an Officer "Anwarter" or "Bewerber" of the Reserve!

The Hauptmann shoulderboard is most likely a Luftwaffe flying personel or paratrooper item
    Thanks
