vehicle tank id flag?

got this in the same lot from the soldier in the 28th. it is double sided with a screen type centerpiece.
it does have a place sewn at the top as if it were meant to hang, but i am unsure. it is dirty soiled and even burnt. so i really like it as it has prominence.

the tank id flags i have seen usually have a larger swastika, but then again this one could be for a car or truck.

Indeed, pics are now showing. It is an original item, but I am not sure it is a vehicle ID flag. Unusual that the end has been folded over and sewn, as usually TR flags have a separate piece of cloth attached to the end, called the halyard end which is usually white in colour. Probably a version of a NASDAP flag and maybe a civilian item or so it appears to me. Good that it has provenance as items with a known history are best IMO.

Great flag! Nice history and provenance, you can't get better than that really! I don't think it's a vehicle/tank flag however, those usually had brass grommets at each edge and are one sided as they were only intended to face upwards. Really cool piece though!

I would doubt it was a vehicle ID flag, probably more of a banner. Great flag, though!

The vehicle flags have grommets in the corners where they can be tied down. A nice original piece.
