Panzer Grenadier has grass green branch colour
Not sure if they ever made parade jackets for Pz Gr?
Would it be panzer then ?
must be, but I only know from bits from my junk pile!
I'm sure someone can break this down , I know he a driver and his rank but that's about it . Thanks for the help
Hi Chris, The rose pink waffenfarbe denotes panzer, motor recon, armored train personnel, or anti-tank. The army trade badge is a motor transport nco. And the rank would be that of a Oberfeldwebel, or Sgt Major. The tunic itself looks like others I have seen. With similar traits, odd fitting collar tabs, number of buttons, pockets, etc. I could not comment on authenticity without better pics or actual hands on study. Others may be able to tell you from a glance so wait for more to chime in. K
This is not a Waffenrock.
It's a Reichswehr-model service tunic [Dienstrock], more precisely, a tailor-made private-purchase tunic [Eigener Rock] which men and NCOs could wear for walking-out. These differed from the issue tunics in several features, the most notable being the branch-color piping down the front.
These tunics could be worn out until 31 March 1942.
Thank you all for the replies , I'm not a tunic guy so you've been very helpful .
This is a wonderful forum with a great membership ! Thanks again .
