    Default WH-Issue trousers #2 : M44 Hose.

Here’s the second pair of trousers;a near-mint pair of M44 Hose which have been professionally widened by the company tailor. They could be easily brought back to the original size with no damage whatsoever in that they’ve been simply unstiched at the upper waist and two slices of M42/43 wool added without cutting anything, but that would be blasphemy in my book!
They’re made of a late war green recycled wool and the lining is the “liberated” Italian gray fabric typical of the period which it’s found inside many an M44 Jacket. As usual I’d rather let the pictures do the whole talking instead of insulging in a long description…the photos will talk for themselves I think!
    Enjoy

I wish they would but I'm afraid that at least 80% of the viewers give the pictures a casual once over and then move to something else not realizing that in these threads they'd find all they need to avoid being burned out by certain dealers or to acertain whether this or that item are kosher and that's a pity because this forum could become the #1 IMO....less "gurus", "sheperds" and "know-it-alls" than "somewhere else" !
    Thanks for appreciating that Ade!
    Cheers

I am not sure that these trousers will be everyone's cup of tea but as I am a fan of the M-44 blouse I like these a lot.

Given that these are late war, they seem in pretty good shape.

    Manny,

That is very nice! Trousers are very hard to come by and even harder in nice condition. Tunics and blouses are eye catching because they will display what branch, ranks, tailor if you are an officer etc. but it is my belief that the trousers are just as important to make a display complete.

    Thank you for showing!

    regards, Tyrone

    Hi Ty,
you've hit the nail on the head...trousers and footwear are absolute musts to complete a display. They're rarer than tunics in that they've been used after the War!
Thank you for stopping and watching!
    Regards

Indeed! These items got worn to destruction in war torn post war Europe. (It is just the same with British items.) Shortages and rationing ensured they served for years as work clothes.

    Cheers, Ade.
