WW11 Edelweiss Ring?

I recently picked this up advertised as "WW11 German Military Ring" and wondered if was authentic or not. Looks like '800' stamped inside the band but cannot be sure.

Looks like it might be OK. I would say it's pretty old, possibly prewar.

If the Admin would move this thread to the Third Reich Ring forum, there my be some folks there who can help.

Sorry to say that I must have overlooked the 'Third Reich Ring' forum and would really appreciate a move to this section if that is at all possible.

I think this is fantasy type ring, from shots cheat cast copy

Yes, it does look cast, unfortunately. Never a good sign.

I'm a little disappointed that it appears to be just a copy but I guess that's all part of collecting Militaria!
