IS This a ww2 german officers coat.

hi guys was wondering if anyone can tell me if this is a genuine ww2 german coat??? it is being sold as one. what concerns me is the lack of sholder buttons and the black leather cut near the shoulders ???

It dose not look like a German coat to me, any tags or stamps inside ?.

Check inside the pockets for tags , also is a close up of the dagger hanger if that's what it is .

I would say yes it is.much altered for civviy wear.

The black leather on the shoulders is likely from removal of the shoulder boards and straps. It is, I believe, a war-time coat that was altered, as Harry said, to wear in peace time.
