WW2 Leather Overcoat?

I bought this awhile ago from this group that buys old warehouses full of ww2 stuff and they claim this coat was captured from a german officer while the germans were retreating through the balkans and spent 60 years in a warehouse however i am not fully positive it is ww2 so i would love some opinions

weird thing i dont get here is why is there a button on only 1 side instead of both


this is the buttonhole on the side with the button and its still sealed shut


heres the skirt at the bottom it can button up

heres the fasteners that keep the coat shut the first 2 are labeled prymo original


heres the buttons on the sleeve i also noticed the pattern on them looks slightly like a swastika

This looks more Stasi than Nazi to me.

I think that you should have a look on ebay Deutschland where you will find a lot of these coats.
A similar type of coat was used during the period but the leather used was a much heavier grade, and your makers label is also modern.
I hope that you did not pay much for this for the reasons listed above.

Just a civilian leather coat, is all. I've had several of these that I've worn over the years myself that I bought new. Nice coat.
