I was told that these were German WWII patches, but haven't seen them before and haven't been able to find any information. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know what they are but they are not WW2 German. Someone should be around shortly to provide some advice.
Welcome to the forum.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

None are from WW2.
The top two are from the Austrian Bundesheer; those are rank insignia for the ranks of Oberwachtmeister and Zugsführer.
The bottom one is from the German Bundeswehr, a shoulder strap slip-on for the rank of Major.
Thank you very much for the info. Are they from the modern day?
Yes.
Thanks again!
