XI (Corps?) Patch w/Odd Eagle

This was among several other textile items in a recent purchase.

I think I've read about Crete having been one of the places this unit (if it IS Eleventh Corps) was involved.

1. Does it appear genuine?

2. Can anyone illuminate the unit's history?

3. What is the significance of the stylized Eagle? It looks a little like camouflage, which the colors suggest.

It's genuine - the patch is for the R.A.D. or 'ReichArbeitsDienst'
= National Labour Service.

That is NOT an eagle, but a sheaf of wheat.........!

So there were multiple groups...labor or work battalions, or such...and this is for the 11th one?

Yep. They were not combat troops, but the RAD was a
compulsory labour force within the Reich.
