    Hello:

    Just picked this up with the other belt and buckle and helmet...

    RAD Belt buckle, but dont know anything about it...
    NOWA 38 ?

    All in the same day as the 82nd Airborne lot...

    It looks like a really nice original example to me, wait for ben or others to tell you more about the maker, all I can say for sure is you have it displayed upside down, the spade is suppose to point towards the top

    Nice buckle and by this maker very hard to come by probably only the second RAD I have seen made by NOWA. This stand for Norddeutsches Nickel-und Silberwaren G.m.b.H., Hamburg. They had the RZM number M4/68. Nice find

    Thanks!! And I had to laugh about the photo also, I had my wife take the photos for me while I was working on something else. Didn't even check it.

    So, 2 for 2 on the buckles both being on the rare side huh?

    Both makers are hard to come by, the RAD by NOWA is only the second one I have seen, maybe now everyone will have one and start posting them but for me looking over the years on forums and delaers sites only the second

    Thanks Everyone, The red material on the front seems to be some sort of paint or maybe even crayon wax. I'm trying to figure out how to remove it safely.
