    A) The rub it in part was you being in Hawaii and me being in cold wet rain today in Boston and having to endure at Super Bowl parade

    B) You know you have too many when you can't remember what you have...

    Safe trip back
I do not have one of these until now...

It had arrived before I came home.. Here are some better pics..
I cannot explain why the buckle is heavily painted on the rear, but I have seen other types of Julius Maurer's handiwork that have the same traits.. This is a new addition to the collection
and one that retains a lot of pebbling IMO.. The tab Meh'.. But nonetheless a good example
    IMHO... G

Thanks Ben.. This example is of a Heer by JMO.. Slightly the same although a bit worn and
the maker mark is under the prong bar and a 37'.. I do not have pics of the front to compare
    though..

Maybe the green has to do with "Kriegsbesetzung" (the "K" which
often wrongly is explained as "Kirenes" (Norway) and/or "Karelien"
    (Finland).
On April 10, 1940 assistance of the RAD to the Armed Forces was
specifically ordered for males and the RAD grew into a para-military
    force.

The pebbling looks similar but with subtle differences.
The prongs look fairly consistent on both buckles.. As Wim. has stated and he usually is quite correct.
is it possible that this is a variant rather than a norm ?? I searched the known Rad / Fad buckle makers thread and other possibilities and came up empty handed as to the "Why".. also.. there was a JMO in the buckle makers thread ( RAD ) that was not visible or posted.. I will actually, when time permits look into any and
all buckles concerning the Rad that may have this characteristic to see if the date can correspond with like
condition that may be in my collection..
