A plain and simple "39" RAD by Lenkwerk Gebrüder Schneider AG., Wien. The markings do however appear to be post production stamped and in addition, I have never as yet seen one of these GS RAD buckles with a leather tongue in place.

David

David, I used to own one very similar to that, if you remember it turned into quite a "discussion" on the WAF debating casting techniques

Indeed.
I bought this RAD as essentially a reference buckle after you have now so kindly reminded myself of, past discussions (those were the days - discussions), on another forum.
A strange RAD and I wish that I had kept images of the one that caused the "discussion". Anyway, here we are with a slightly odd RAD, die stamped and with possibly, a post production hand punched makers logo and year of manufacture.

David
Haha, David, I waste nowt, I keep pics of all my buckles for reference

Thankyou Ben !
Do you remember (I think) that I argued like a man demented about this RAD buckle being fake. Mea Culpa and my slightly Neanderthal mistake. Sorry. Having said that, the early days of cast fakes and seeing a late production RAD with stamped in markings. A learning curve as they say.
An excellent buckle though !!

David
Yes David, the guy worked in casting if I remember LOL
