I remember that painting (a copy of course) hanging over our dining room table as a kid.

Michael, By the way... You have a really nice Bruder Schneider, Wein... I hope to pick one up in the fall at the show...G
Thanks G. You know, I'm not a buckle guy. Pick them up here and there to round out the broader collection and only have 5 or 6. So I really don't pay much attention to makers, rarity and such, so it's nice to hear that I might have gotten lucky. I know i got it cheap.

maybe one day I'll let it go....

Michael, The painting is of "The Gleaners".. It represents what I believe Farmers or landowners after harvest, left something behind for the less fortunate and weren't too greedy as to starve them out or feel unthankful to their own bounty... Too be thankful.... Seems like you have had a good upbringing as there was a copy in your home..M

Yes Mike. That is why it was there...to be thankful for what we had. And yes, a very very good upbringing.

Very nice G, when you get the chance can you make a list of what makers you have? I know they are in the makers thread but it would be nice to have a quick glance list of you have on your own (if that makes sense)

    Cheers
    Ben
