This is my first diplomatic brocade belt and buckle. Lot of different variations of these Diplomatic buckles and brocades. The belt is backed in a very dark blue. The buckle is very close to the buckle I thought was a government officials but Wim says it was RLB. The direction of the head is different. This is the first of what I picked up at the SOS.

All Diplomatic/Government items are hard to find. Their items are great looking, love the daggers and swords. This was laying over a chair at a dealers table. The full outfit with the best quality billion work. Hard to tell by the photo but this is the quality of a SS Generals collar tabs.
This brocade belt is for a Diplomatic or German Government functionary...not RLB.
The Head eagles on buttons and belt buckle 1938 design look to right and 1939-1945 designs look to the left.
Your brocade belt is a 1939-1945 design for a High rank Paygroup 1.
This one is Diplomatic. My buddy Garry has a couple of RLB brocades.

Very nice Brocade. I might add the silver buckled one to collection. My friends Brocade with the large gold center stripe is my favorite pattern.
Yes.....is very beautiful the pattern with Brocade with large gold center stripe....sometime ago i sell a example of this pattern to a veteran collector of Diplomatic uniforms...
