A rare one

I have had this on my top 20 want list for a long time. It is a Wurttemberg State Forestry buckle and the group shot is with my other fire guilded buckles.

Indeed a very rare buckle, although one that falls within a highly specialised and distinctly niche collecting area.

Congratulations on the acquisition.

This is I think (not my area of collecting), the pre 1938/1939 "fire gilded" Württemberg Koppelschloß für Forstbeamte?

Known in "Brüniert" (dark burnished finish) also? Again, not my collecting focus and my apologies for being clumsy on the subject.

Super buckle though.

Glad you guys like the buckle. It is a little Imperial and a little Third Reich.
I am at a point with my buckle collection were these specialized buckles are what I am looking for. Most of the common buckles I buy are upgrades of something I already have. I do enjoy finding a variation of a SA/NSKK or Stahlhelm or something with interesting markings.
