Type of catch on Brocades

Has anyone seen this type of catch on a Officers buckle before? It is the only picture that I have but I have also seen it on a Heer buckle. I believe it to be original but would like confirmation if possible, also does anyone know who the maker is of these buckles with this type of catch if original?
