Help please

Article about: Hello everyone Hope someone can help. Do you think the decal on this wwii helmet is original or fake? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Thanks Adravor. I notice there are marks on the tail of the helmet. I’ve attached a photo. Any idea as to what they mean. I think it’s EF64 and underneath 2948.

    This is the "Lot #". It is on every helmet and denotes the batch of steel used to produce that "batch" of helmets.

    It is for quality control.

    Collectors use it for a variety of reasons.

    For a quick but accurate and informative primer on German helmets, I recommend you read through this website (maintained by member Schwerpunkt).
