Could any of the experts draw any conclusions about the existance of these knives,by comparing the 2 knives?Thank you.
Side by side comparison, in my opinion, the 2 inscriptions were done by the same hand, as they are virtually identical. I do believe also that this was period done. It's a pretty safe conclusion that the Juist HJ group commissioned a group of daggers to be specially inscribed with their inscription. I do recall seeing another such inscription some goodly number of years ago as well, which would support this conclusion and the fact that these Juist knives have been around some long time now. Just why they did so is as yet unsolved, but it could have been an elite small leadership group, or some other specialty troop-maybe even prizes for exemplary achievements and/or competitions. Obviously, the entire troop did not receive these pieces, but only a small number. We may never know exactly why..

What a shame they replace the dagger diamond with a HJ pin. Either way, now you have a very salty HJ pin to go with your rare knife! Any plans to replace the handle's diamond with a period authentic piece?
I would love to have the correct diamond for the handle , The replacement is still just lose . But money is tight and I don't see much German around here let alone a handle diamond . But your right , I should look into it .
