    Hi Guys!
    I won this knife on auction at yesterday.
    Early period made Hörster.
    I asked the seller send me more photos.
    What I see:
    -repainted scabbard
    -polished, balanced motto
    -salty brown leather strap

    What is your opinon about the rest of knife?

    To be honest, with the torn up strap, the vinished Motto, the repainted scabbard, the knicks in the sharpened blade there's not much left to desire….
    that means it has to be darn cheap as a starter, course thats all i see in the salty knife

    although it has the birdshead pommel, thats one in favour for it!

    Price is low, I think. That is the only one reason why I bought it.

    The diamond is good one?

    Not easy to find the birdshead pommel Horster hjs !

    I have seen them in worse condition, diamond insignia is genuine

    OK, it's a bit rough, but it is an early one and desirable with the birdhead pommel. It is a shame someone thought repainting the scabbard was a good idea. It never is.

    how bad is the paint can you get it off without hurting the knife. i know some people have removed paint from helmets using different stuff.
