if you personally like the hj knife buy it, maybe you can pick up a genuine diamond later & see if you can fit it into the griplate, 200 euros is a good price considering a nice scabbard can cost that much alone.

scabbard is personalized ...lfs maker and 90% original color.
how difficult it is to replace the orig. diamond?

To do the job properly the rivets & griplates would need to be removed, not recommended unless its done by a professional restorer !

most people simply glue the diamond into place but you would need to trim the 2 metal tangs down very short on the back of the diamond.

... I would have to take a diamond with split pins.
only a small diamond with splints to find
glue would not like.
