    Little strange so dark plastic grips on early 44cvl, but it could ok, when used older spares grips. The screws looks like dissasembled.

    Nice bayonet but I agree with Andrej that the grips are strange. Almost all of the hundreds of 44cvl pieces in my data base are wood gripped. A very few examples are recorded with red/brown phenolic grip scales. I would suggest these grips are not original to the piece. My thoughts only ......
