Hi. A thought occurred to me that perhaps a fullered blade would aid in penetration? Less material=less resistance. I see on the K98 I have that the fuller extends right down towards the tip where the blade tapers to a point.

"blood grooves" are nonsense.
The correct name is Fuller.
Fullers has two functions:
1 = stabilization of the blade (principle like corrugated sheet iron)
2 = reduce the weight
