If you have found this in your familys belongings, it will be "worth" more in sentimental value.

Keep on looking, you never know when you find something good!! (just remember take daylight photos and post here first, so we can all try to aid you into not loosing money by buying a fake item.)

No worries....we have all made that mistake wanting to find out values of history.

The Gents above are correct ..as this forum is to study history..from the provided details ..which may lead to value. The forum will not answer directly value first and history later......too many have asked those same questions and were never to be seen again.

As far as condition of your bayo..the best replies from the most experienced has been given. Review the links above. You will have a general idea of value.

The links and advice are certainly appreciated, but for the websites specialist expertise in some areas may be lacking (IMO) and personally I would suggest a Caveat for those who may be interested in acquiring some of them for their own collections. While most are fine, with the variables being the prices asked, regrettably there can be the occasional "humper" or rework and/or misidentified item. Suggesting that especially with some of them that a 'vetting process' via the forum be utilized to avoid making a mistake in getting what you think that you are buying versus what the item actually is.
