    Hi Dok....the Bayo itself is authentic...one of the greatest problems with collecting bayonets is the etch that has plagued the hobby in recent mass production.

    I would say the etch was never there during the period....and only a handful of Bayo guys here have sharp enough eyes to see the difference. I would wait for their opinions on the etch itself.

    The Frog is authentic..but not sure if it belongs to this bayo. Wait for Sleepwalker or Fred to chime in also.

    I agree. We look forward to the conclusion by then etched blade.
    Information on the markings of the frog I do not have.
