This is another stag handled bayonet I have made by Eickhorn am I correct in saying the logo is for a late manufactured bayonet.

Totally untrue.

It was last Carl Eickhorn logo, which is produced in the period from the end of the 1941 to the 1942 years, when the ceremonial blades was stop producing.
Otherwise Eickhorn kept quite high quality of their products until the end - like these short stag dress bayonet. ( This logo is much rarer to find on the dress bayonet - compared to 36-41 Eickhorn Logo.)
Example of Kriegsmarine M1938 daggers, produced in the same period.
