Dress Bayonet Troddel ?

Would this Troddel/knot suit a dress bayonet or is this strictly for a sword ?

Sleepwalker says this type with the 2 Aluminium bands can be use for sabre & bayo, was also told on WAF this type can be used on either .

Nice officers Senior NCO knot I have seen them both ways on sword, and bayonet I don't know if this is proper as said Fred or Sleepwalker will know that one is nice! timothy
