Hello,what is this number 1/172 ? in short Eickhorn bayonet with brown frog.Help please.

From what we can see it looks like a KS98 "dress" bayonet with 20cm length blade made between 1935-41. The number 1/172 looks like some sort of accountability number. But just when it was struck is anyone's guess. The frog appears to be dress type for Police, based on the lighter brown colour.
These KS98 bayonets were occasionally an issued item, like swords were sometime. Beyond that we can only speculate. The rivet looks a little odd.

If the scabbard is stamped as well, it would seem to be an issue/accountability number of some sort.

It could be assigned to a unit that used as Seitenwaffe KS98, to sample Abteilung nr.1 and weapon nr.172, from this i would assume its not a Extra SG buyed personally but ordered by a organisation.b.r.Andy
