I have one exactly like this that my dad's father brought home from WWII. It is well worn, but in great condition. I have had it for over 30 years and never really knew anything about it until I got curious this evening and did some searching on the web. I can remember taking it with me on hikes in the woods when I was 10 or 11. Can't imagine doing that now.
