Well you've answered your own question really. It is a nice private purchase "walking out" or parade bayonet. This could be classified as a remembrance model, but custom ordered. The bayonet is of the early imperial style, fairly good condition, though seems to have a little bit of blade damage near tip, the early bakelite grips a little worn. Nicely period etched, overall highly collectable. Is it scarce? Well yes, finding another exactly the same would be difficult, though other custom ordered similar parade bayonets from the Weimar period do turn up. Thanks for showing it to us.

Hi Anderson, thanks for the reply. Yeah, there is a little damage to the blade tip with some of the plating missing. Also, irritatingly, the pommel has been used as a hammer at some stage leaving a few dents!! The grips are in blackened wood. The grip on the plain side is missing almost all it's paint. But all in all not a bad survivor having spent 70 odd years in a garage!
