Appears could be early example of s84/98 there should be a maker name on the blade of a code like S/145 etc or a three digit ffc 42 ie on it and a Waa on top pommel. Check Ser no of bayonet to scabbard if matching and frog is missing top belt loop. Don't know what the numbers are on the frog stud of the scabbard that is unusual. Otherwise looks like nice s84/98 bayonet these were made after WW1 starting in the 20's to 1945 as stated. timothy

The numbers to the frog stud would indicate this was a Portuguse issue.

That makes sense Ade I know the Portuguse contracts had serial numbers on the pommel. timothy
