Some early TR period (usually Luftwaffe) frogs have a lettering style similar to the one posted with unit type markings that can usually be deciphered but not always. What complicates the situation here is that there may be something preceding the marking that we cannot see because the presumably postwar strap covers that area. Also with OEM frogs (original factory finish) that are stamped the timing for the markings is clear, whereas this one looks like it has been refinished. Best Regards, Fred

No mystery its a yugo postwar rework of german frog, possible the stamp is not complete visible, but should be Pioneer battalion most real. b.r.Andy
