Not for me, I've seen a few like this. They all seem to be top shelf regiments too..... funny that.

A standard military bayonet ruined with spurious etchings.

Possibly done in the UK in the 1970s or more recently in Eastern Europe.

Wouldnt have been too shabby, had it been original though....

As KradSpam says; always top shelf regiments.

For some reason never from Divisions like Handschar, Kama, Hunyadi or RONA or SturmBrigade Dirlewanger for that matter - gee, I wonder why ...

As Richie says, a fake etching on an original bayonet. These were being knocked out in the early 70's by a chap in Blackpool under the moniker 'Brian the Bayonet King'. K98's were worth about £5 then, but when etched they were £35-40 each!

Some dress bayonets were etched, but it was expressly forbidden by the Wehrmact to etch or engrave a K98 combat bayonet.

    Regards, Ned.

It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

Brian the Bayonet King - LOL
    Quite the monicker!
Makes him sound quite trustworthy ... sort of like Brian the Used Motor King (special price just for YOU).

No kidding. Sort of like a walking talking dinosaur faker doing the shows.
I guess the problem is, that when these blokes stick around long enough, there are new unsuspecting 'virgin' generations to sell fakes to.
Such types must have absolutely NO shame at all.
