K98 bayonet

Article about: Do you think this one bayonets is polished and has a changed paint? the seller has given only those pictures he wants 400 BGN which is 200 euros

    A little bit too late of a date to be Luftwaffe marked, the style of the thread stitching with the short center line of stitching will normally indicate Luftwaffe. Where I live in the U.S. a matching bayonet in the condition like this one appears to be (OEM-original) with an original frog @ $225 (200 Euros) at a show on a for sale table would probably not be there for a long time if there were any collectors attending.     Do you know site k98 bayonets
    I do not know anything about bayonets and I want to start learning.

    There are some other websites that have useful information, but not always interactive meaning that they might be more static (fixed). I think that the website here was a good starting place with collectors from multiple countries actively participating. Also having some databases with a lot of the information that a beginning collector could find useful. Best Regards, Fred

    Good eyes Andy, yes the photo in post #18 does suggest a little issue with the blade tip. But that is the probably the only negative issue with this bayonet.
