    Nothing special just came at the right price, late version 1943 in decent shape no scabbard though ( pity) a little suprised to see wooden grips on such a late one ( original?) it joins the other miss fits i have here, and if anyone has the matching scabbard ( you never know) drop me a line.

    They look original some makers according to Wheeler's book switched back to them (wooden grips) around 42 I think. timothy

    During 1943. brown bakelite is discharged from production, introduced with cheaper variant of red bakelite and wooden handle.

    Rancid66 I think Wheeler states in Seitengewher around mid war to late so that fits I have had 43-44 with red bakelite and also wood I posted a fnj 43 here while back in the red bakelite. timothy

    So proberly original grips good news.

    Almost all Carl Eickhorn K98 bayonet produced during 1943. years have a wooden grips.
