The color on scabbard is probably not correct, other point is that the bayonet should have probably a other marked flashguard so its possible the grips and flashguard are not correct.best regards,Andy

Hi nice Bayonet !! The KVZ is the letter code for Timmermann & Wollet , Heidlelberg . They are a know leatherware maker .

Ya!the scabbard seems repainted in old age,is that a good idea to wipe them out?
I checked the markers again.There are same maker's number like WaA253(or 255) on pommel,release button and crossguard but the one on the metal plate behind the grip is different,not a standard WaA no.
It's almost impossible to find out the one on the tip of the scabbard thanks.

You should look under the grips, maybe they are proofed too WaA253, but from my source this bayonet should have a dark colored plastic grips. so when possible proof the dissmounting.The paint on scabbard is old, so probably remain it so. best regards,Andy
